I am Aya Sakurai, an employee at a company that has been affected by the recent recession. Even though we had decent sales at one point, the depreciation of the yen has put us in a difficult position. To make matters worse, the upper management has started looking for early retirees, and I can’t help but worry that I might be a target for restructuring.
However, amidst all this chaos, I have been given an opportunity to be a part of a new project team that will be designing and launching a new line of underwear. I couldn’t contain my excitement when I found out that I was chosen as one of the project members. The thrill of being involved in something new and innovative overshadowed all my worries about my job security.
