I joined the company because I wanted to be a swimsuit designer, but due to the economic downturn, I ended up helping in the sales department instead of the design department. It was disheartening at first, but I was grateful to have a job during such difficult times. I was determined to make the best of it, even if it wasn’t my dream job.
Despite the change in job duties, I quickly adapted and found myself enjoying the fast-paced environment of sales. I was able to hone my communication skills and learned a lot about the business side of the fashion industry. However, there were still moments when I longed for the creative freedom of designing swimsuits.
