As I listened from my room, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for the troublesome person. It must have been hard for him to live with the constant judgment and avoidance from his neighbors. I wondered what had caused him to become this way, and if there was any way to help him.
I had always noticed his wife’s absence, and now I understood why. As an officer, she must have a busy schedule, leaving her husband alone for most of the day. It must have been a lonely and isolating existence for him. I couldn’t imagine having to deal with the burden of being the “troublesome person” while also feeling abandoned by my spouse.
